Your privacy is important to us. By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • A. Information You Provide Directly:
    • Reading Data: When you use the Application, you may record information about the books you read, wish to read, or have read. This includes: titles, authors, ISBNs (if provided), reading status (e.g., « To Read, » « Reading, » « Read »), your current progress (current page, total pages), cover URLs (if provided), and any personal notes or reviews you add about your books.
    • Book Added Date: The date on which you add a book to your library.
    • This data is stored locally on your device using the application’s shared preferences (stored as JSON).
  • B. Information Collected Automatically When You Use the Application:
    • Reading Sessions: When you log reading sessions, we collect the associated book identifier, the date/time of the session, the duration in minutes, and the number of pages read. This data is stored locally on your device (SharedPreferences, JSON).
    • Reading Statistics and Heatmap Data: Aggregated statistics (such as pages read per day, minutes read per day, totals) are calculated within the Application from your reading sessions to be displayed to you.
    • Local Notification Metadata: If you enable reading reminders, the settings for these notifications (time, frequency, enabled status) are managed by your device’s local notification system. No personally identifiable data is sent to external servers for this feature.
    • Paywall Interaction Flags: We store locally on your device whether the initial paywall has been presented to you and the timestamp of the last paywall display (initial_paywall_shown, last_paywall_time) to manage the frequency of subscription reminders.
    • Subscription and In-App Purchase Data (via Adapty.io):
      • Adapty Profile Identifier: An identifier generated by Adapty, which may be anonymous from our perspective but links your subscription data within Adapty’s system.
      • Paywall Statistics and Interactions: Information about your interactions with in-app paywalls, such as views and subscription events, collected by Adapty for analytics.
      • Device Information: Device model and OS version may be collected by Adapty for the proper functioning and analytics of the subscription service.
    • Local Preferences: Your choices for application settings such as theme (dark/light) and reminder time are stored locally using SharedPreferences.

Note:
*Data marked « Adapty » is processed by Adapty.io’s servers and linked to your Adapty Profile ID to manage subscriptions and analyze paywall performance.
Your core reading data (books, notes, local statistics) is stored only on your device and is not shared with external servers by Read Tracker, except for data processed by Adapty for subscription purposes.
